Flowers for Bees!

In spring 2010, plant species will be planted honey over 250 kilometers of road verges. The bees will benefit from a supplementary food resource.

"This is a first in France," said Pierre Testu, host of "Biodiversity Network to bees", an association of beekeepers and farmers who will monitor the experiment.
It will be conducted in six major regions in the directions of interdepartmental roads: north, northwest, southwest, central massif and Atlantic..

Bee croping pollen

1,500 hectares of fallow farm were developed in France: farmers have planted flowers on the land to help increase the supply of food for bees, but nothing had been put up on the roadsides.

This will be done in the spring thanks to the power of the state that is the only one to intervene on the road network. Indeed, Dominique Bussereau, Secretary of State for Transport, and Chantal Jouanno, Secretary of State for Ecology are committed in this direction.

It is worth recalling that the bees are in danger and they are a vital link in the chain of life ... see our Support French Projects.
